How can I transfer money Online?
What You Need
- A Visa® or MasterCard® credit card issued by an Austrian bank
- Your receiver's location
1: Enter Money Transfer Details
- Name of the person you are sending money to
- Amount
- City and Country where the money will be picked up
- Payment information
2: Print Your Receipt and Call Us
- Call us to confirm your transaction at the number provided on your receipt and protect your online identity.
3: Pick Up the Money
- Your receiver may pick up the funds at any Western Union Agent location in the city and country you selected.
- You can return to www.westernunion.at and select Transfer Status to find out if the funds have been picked up
What do I need to bear in mind?
- You can only perform an online money transfer using a credit or debit card provided to you by an Austrian financial institution
- After completing your second online money transfer, European banking laws require the Western Union Bank to file a copy of your current photo ID. We will automatically send you a registered letter after your second transaction with further instructions.
- Initially, the maximum amount of money you can send online within a 30-day period is €500. Once you have used the Western Union® Money Transfer service on the web, at least once over the course of 120 days, you may send up to a maximum of €999 within a 30-day period.
After you have been positively identified by us, your transaction limit may increase subject to your online transaction history.
